God’s “Troublesome” Love

Enwrapped in the father’s Love

The life of Joseph was characterised with so much love from his earthly father. His father cared for him so much and sealed the symbol of his love with a coat of many colours. He had a beautiful life after all.

At a certain time, began to find purpose in his dreams. For God to bring his dreams to realisation he was separated from his brothers (Deut. 33:16). Then the trouble began as they became a tool for the process.

God’s Kind Of Love

When God loves a man so much, he will hurt him a lot. He will make that man go through the huddles of life just to make him tough. For the troubles Joseph went through, it was God’s process of going through. God will not deliver a man from trouble, he will only protect him in trouble.

Like the children of Israel, He will show the promise land without showing the Red Sea. In the case of Daniel, God will give an excellent spirit but will never tell it attracts the Lions den. Joseph became a prime minister from the prison. The distinguishing factor of these great men was the love God upon their lives.

His Chastisement

This is a sign of whom the Lord loves he chastises and scourges any child he receives (Heb. 12:6). At the end of the day, one comes out strong and victorious. If only Joseph’s brothers knew their plans would eventually fulfill God’s original plan, they would have sourced other means of eliminating him.

Training Us To Love Him

Ultimately, God’s love brings light in the midst of dark times to give hope to the righteous. So trust God in every situation you find yourself, knowing that in the end, there will be a silver lining.
