The altar is the believer’s lifeline. It is the meeting point between divinity and humanity. When the altar is cold, destiny becomes weak. When the altar is burning, destiny gains speed. The priesthood of Israel was mandated to ensure the altar never lacked fire. That responsibility has not changed.
Today, as believers, the “altar” is our prayer life, our Word meditation, our consecration. The fire represents the active operation of the Holy Spirit. Apostle Johnson Suleman often says: “If you want to carry power, you must carry fire. If you want to preserve power, you must preserve fire.”
We live in times when many Christians are engaged with activities but disconnected from fire. Without fire, gifts lie dormant, zeal evaporates, and resistance to temptation becomes weak. The reason the devil fights prayer is because he knows prayer is what keeps the flames burning.
The fire on your altar must not go out because:
1. Fire purifies. It burns away weakness, sin, and satanic deposits.
2. Fire illuminates. It gives clarity of direction in times of confusion.
3. Fire preserves. The three Hebrew boys were untouched in Babylon’s fire because a greater Fire stood with them.
4. Fire empowers. On the day of Pentecost, cloven tongues like fire sat upon the disciples, birthing boldness and miracles.
Every revival in history began with fire — not strategies, not plans, but fire. If God is going to use you, He must first set you ablaze. You cannot remain lukewarm and expect to change your generation.
Prophetic Keys for This Month
• Guard your secret place more than ever. The devil’s aim is to keep you too busy to fan the flame.
• Feed the fire with prayer, fasting, and meditation on the Word. Wood sustains natural fire; discipline sustains spiritual fire.
• Avoid fire-quenchers: offense, bitterness, carnality, and distraction.
• Carry fire everywhere you go. Let your workplace, family, and environment feel the flame of your devotion.

My Father, My Father, as I begin to pray:
1. Rekindle fresh fire upon my altar of prayer.
2. Purge my life of every strange deposit by the fire of the Holy Ghost.
3. Preserve me and my family with unquenchable fire.
4. Let Your fire consume every altar raised against me.
